Our Mission
To provide dogs with the daily exercise they require to enhance their health, happiness, and
overall quality of life. We accomplish this by interacting with our community, clients, and their dogs
in a way that is consistent with our business principles.
Why We Opened
the Doggy Run Club
A Life long passion and love for dogs has led me to my purpose to serve dogs in many ways.
My most recent adoption of a blue heeler/beagle mix, Lucy, has inspired the Doggy Running Club.
Lucy came into this world with extreme anger issues. I was afraid after adopting and
falling in love with this puppy I would not be able to keep her. My service to dogs has been in the area of
helping pet care owners thrive their businesses so their talents could reach more pet owners and more
dogs.
I did not have any special skills training or dealing with aggressive behavior
issues. I needed to decide early on whether I could provide Lucy with a home where she could thrive and my
other dogs could live happily and safely with her.
If I couldn't handle her, it was my duty to give her to someone better equiped to handle her
and I owed it to her to decide while she was a tiny puppy and still had a chance to be adopted and
trained.
After consulting my vet several times and several trainers I knew what I had to do. The
resources I needed were available to me to manage Lucy's behavior.
My team consisted of my vet, Parkway Animal Hospital, an incredible trainer, Chris Adams
of Oak Bowery Kennels and my own ability to run with Lucy. After I saw the amazing transformation of
Lucy and my ability to train her after jogging I knew we were going to be okay.
It was an easy decision to use my passion for running and my experience with Lucy to help dogs
and dog owners by opening the Doggy Running Club. There are so many dog owners and dogs who
would be happier and healthier if they had the time and ability to regularly engage in vigorous fitness and
exercise.
Our Business Principles
Animals come first: Our most important commitment is to the animals and their needs, not
profit or convenience. We exist to meet their fitness needs and enhance their quality of life.
Client commitment and relationships: Our relationship with each and every client is second
only to the needs of their pets. We strive to ensure that each client is 100% satisfied with the services
we provide them.
Integrity: Our clients entrust us with their pets and their homes. If we make a mistake we
take responsibility for it and work hard to find an acceptable way to correct the situation.
Honesty: Each client receives the length and quality of run they have paid for each and
every time we service their dog. Any incidents that occur while servicing a pet will be reported to the
client.
Exceptional Service: Provide exceptional service to our clients and to the communities in
which we serve on a daily basis.
